MADE IN TASMANIA
Made by a one man cast and crew using both digital video and videotape, Belly Up is a Tasmanian social and cultural satire. As an action movie operating within the confines of Tasmanian cinematic conventions, entertainment value is sacrificed in favour of an excruciating amount of long takes and scenes where characters do nothing but walk around Tasmanian locations, interspersed with endless shots of the environment and other tourism advertisement footage.
PLOT IN 25 WORDS OR LESS:
A Hobart drug dealer goes on a mission to save his girlfriend after she is kidnapped by a rival gang from Launceston..
